Theres a leaflet out monday with just fishing tackle on it,available from monday 25th april.Any good stuff or , as I'd suspect ,just tat or their rods may not be perticularly good but some of the other items like the fish finder might be of use,and Polaroids for £2.99 though make a usefull back up to keep in the tackle box or as loaners, see for yourselfs :Lidl's Tackle Sale

MrMatthew:

Most of the people in the shop have prob never seen a horse except on a race track!
I think that's the whole point of their marketing strategy though. I noticed they advertised this stuff in the Anglers Mail and probably did the same with the horsey stuff. By getting people in who may not normally go to Lidl theyve done the hard part by getting them through the front door. After that, all theyve got to do is show them some other special offers and cheap baked beans and they could win over a new set of customers. Clever marketing i reckon

I thought the tackle box looked good value. Like a small Plano box but cheaper.

Cheap tackle at a fair price....unlike a lot of the stuff most likely from the same manufacturers (but with a "name" label on) that supply the "cheaper" end of well known companies ranges.
