If you Search the archives you will find trhis is a topic that has been covered several times. The brief answer is that no-one actually knows?! But it is assumed that No 1 was the number for the original adminmember who set up A/Net.

#1 is the original admin account that is made when you set up the forum and you don't really want to be stuck with the name 'admin' so you just create a proper name for yourself and go back on the admin account and give your properly named account full admin rights then you just use that one
