at my local ponds therey have loads of baits you cant use for example,trout pelletes,sweetcorn,groundbait,liquidised bread,
its getting riduiculios,u can use bread but not liquidised
the baits you are allowed to use are maggots,casters,worms,bread,meat,boiles but only so many

any1 got any good bait ideas for me i can use please
for coarse fishing-not carping

Stick with maggots or casters mate.You wont go far wrong.If you aint catching on these then take a look at your presentation and feeding. smile.gif

The baits that are banned ALL look like groundbaits or carpet feeds and there is a reason.
I bet in the past the water level rose a few centimeters due to anglers piling in bait.
Are pellets and hemp also banned?

Like Budgie say's stick to maggot and caster (I normally only use red maggots).

As most other anglers will be using the same it is a good idea to give yourself an edge by using a flavour.

Use float tackle with an insert waggler, approx 3lb line and a 2lb hooklength with an 18 or 20 hook and you should catch plenty of silver fish with the odd bonus tench, crucian etc (dont know whats in your ponds)
