I have noticed that you folks like to fish cheese-based baits and you have undoubtedly noticed that US guys like artificials. Here is a chance to combine them. The site is about a favorite catfish "stink bait" or "dip bait" that is put onto a plastic worm with lots of ridges to hold the dip. The language is a little of what we call "countrified" and the rigs may cause heart palpatations in the UK, the fish the speak of is one you don't have, but the idea is good and the bait is terrific. Take a look and see if you want to try a product from your cousins. http://www.in-fisherman.com/if_articles/Ca..._Dips-2205.html

QUOTE Originally posted by john: what ARE you on ? bloody hell!! John - don't know if the saying translates but "don't knock it until you've tried it". My main "nuisance fish" when I use this stuff is carp. Hard to get catfish sometimes for all the bloody carp sucking up the dip. I do not rig as shown there though - hate treble hooks for one thing. Also don't like rigs that stay with a fish if it breaks off. Edited this post because I forgot to tell John that the second best use for the dip is to dry it and smoke it. Man, what a buzz!!! ![]() [This message has been edited by Newt (edited 16 December 2000).] |
