Just to keep it on one simple thred.

Right firstly thanks to Chris for sorting another great day out for us.

Secondly, what a great day I had, nice steady drive over with the assistance of Sat/Nav didn't get lost (much) smile.gif

Lost count how many grayling, brownies, rainbows, and minnows. biggrin.gif

Weather was very kind to us and only tried to rain slightly.

Nice to see old faces and see new ones.

While I was walking one of the beats I found this chap fighting a monster..............??
Guess what it was???

To add to whats already been said, Thanks to Chris for both organising a great day and pointing out a grayling hotspot to me as I wandered around
(even if breakfast didn't go quite according to plan sad.gif)

My Final tally was;

Loads of minnows, got smashed up by a big carp I hooked on a floating crust,
5 Grayling, about this size

2 Brown trout

And what I think is my first ever sea trout, confirmation from the experts would be most welcome

I also stumbled across this character making a meal out of unhooking a grayling so I took his picture - how come my barbless hooks just fell out? - usually before I'd landed the fish!

And to finish up, a view of the main river, I caught my best grayling from just under the tree stump on the left hand side!

Thanks again Chris, put my name down for next year please

Cheers guys - I ended up with 27 grayling - quite a few really small ones (sub15cm) and a couple of 'scraper' pounders - highlight of my day was a 1lb 15oz perch - also had a smattering of dace, gudgeon, roach and perch - all small.

Money raised/pledged for CANCER RESEARCH UK stands at £105 - if you've said you'll send me dosh and haven't send me a PM for my address. I'll be putting and application into the Trust that my work operates and hopefully they'll double what we raised. (perhaps even treble it).

Next year we'll have to try and find another place for brekkie!! demon

Nice pics Dave...

Couple of pics of Budgie's mate playing a 7lb 4oz Brown Trout. Actual pics of the fish are on his own camera, so I'm hoping Budgie can get hold of them...

Each time I closed my eyes, I saw a float.

The float diasappeard.

And I was awake again!

Leon,

Hope you spotted where I'd put your reel before you drove off
