Hi Peter,
Have we got any more information regarding this? All the people I know who would be able to tell me will be in bed right now!! All the best, Elton ------------------ Elton Murphy Anglers' Net http://www.anglersnet.co.uk |

QUOTE Originally posted by Peter Waller: If its true, and it comes from E.T., then what next? What next? Well that drops the total PAC membership by less than 0.02%. That's what! Shocking eh? Ian. |

All the best, Elton Just had this confirmed from a very reliable source. I won't publish reasons until we know all the facts, but it looks like a certain incident hasn't died a death yet ![]() Tight lines, Elton ------------------ Elton Murphy Anglers' Net http://www.anglersnet.co.uk [This message has been edited by Elton (edited 27 September 2000).] |

It came up on the web from ET last night. Eddy had been sitting on it until it was confirmed. Can't say much else as I don't know. There is already talk of forming a 'British Pike Conservation Group' to pick up the pieces.

I was a just a little bit cynical about the chances of 'Angling Unity' a while ago, and promptly got jumped by various people. Much as I hate to say "I told you so"...

I can't help agreeing with Ian on this one. So Barrie resigns ? there are other people in the PAC and as far as I'm concerned nothing will change. Any group is always greater than the individuals in it (IMHO).

I joined the PAC because
a) It is an organistion prepared to fight hard for the conservation of Pike. When it starts to get those 2 issues in the wrong order, I might consider taking my membership elsewhere. Right now, I'm proud to wear my PAC membership badge ![]() Tight Lines - leon |

Hi All,
I can't help feeling that this has a lot to do with that Blithfield fiasco last year. That was never properly 'put to bed' by either side. I'll continue with my PAC membership. I didn't join because of 'names'. Pike conservation is top of my list of reasons for being a member. Cheers, Ian. |
