Does anyone have any information on this venue on the Trent, tactics, species and bait I should take??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Ricky

A tackle trolley should be your first priority, as it is a walk of about one and a half miles from the legal way in (from Holme village) and about three quarters of a mile from the Collingham end. Actually, there is nothing to prevent you from using the Collingham car park, as it is not registered as a car park with the council. The bailiff once tried to make me pay for a day ticket, even though I wasn't fishing Collingham waters. Having said that though, I accept that it is discourteous to park there to fish Holme Marsh.
There are bream, chub and the occasional barbel, but it is also one of the few remaining places on the lower Trent where it is still worthwhile to fish for carp.

That's great thank you, do you have any ideas on the methods I should use and what bait and groundbait I should take??

Thanks for your help so far.

Ricky
