Application forms are now available at Stoney and Friends

Date - 3/4/5th September

We want this years event to be the most successful ever and ideally we are looking to raise £20,000 from the weekend.

If you fancy attending, get your applications in early so we can send you your sponsor forms and you can get out their collecting as soon as possible.

If anyone works for a company that would like to offer some corporate sponsorship, have a look at our site and/or get in touch with me.(Split Lake already has one sponsor)

Last year we had just over 100 anglers attending, lets see if we can get the numbers up tp 150+ this year.

I hope to see as many of you there as possible

If somebody here can put on their organising head, and I can get away that weekend, I'd love to make it an 'official' AN get-together.

Volunteers?

LOL chesters, Stoney is one of the nicest and most genuine guys you'll meet.

He's an RMC bailiff and 'uses' his position to earn 10's of thousands for Macmillan Nurses.

I trust your post was in humour... smile.gif

Good response Elton to what I hope was a tongue in cheek comment by Chesters.

For anyone interested, it is likely that the total amount raised by Stoney and Friends over years for Macmillan Cancer Relief, after Yateley 2004 will exceed £100,000. Even Chesters must agree thats not a bad effort for "Stoney and money paying slight aqaintences".

For Chesters information, organising successful events of this nature is not a 5 minute job, nor is it a one person job (hence the "friends"). As soon as one event is finished, the organisation for the next starts. In addition they are accounts to run, annual returns to prepare for the charity, contacting and cajoling the angling rade for support, news lettrs to issue, event reports to write and circulate, posters to design and print and our website to keep up to date, let alone keeping people informed via forums like this.

And what does Stoney get out of it? - absolutely nothing other than the personal pleasure of knowing he has been instrumental in raising thousands of pounds for a very good cause.

The Isle of Avalon does exist.
You just have to know when to look for it.

Tickets are still available for this not to be missed event.

There will be catering facilities on site, a toilet or two!!!!!, and a huge raffle on the Sunday.

All money raised goes to Macmillan Cancer Relief.

More details on www.stoneyandfriends.co.uk or contact me.
