Looking for top tips for the venue - it's about 80miles from us, but I've been entered into a Jacksons Building Centre match there in about three weeks.

It's a four hour match, and I am guessing it has a good head of roach and/or perch. Not sure about other fish, such as Chub or Bream though..

Dont know which bits of the dyke you are fishing , we normally fish the ticket water by the weirs in the town.

Usual match tactics will work but if you are struggling straight lead and bread flake is a good back up ( in fact its our first choice of tactic when we go)

There are some huge carp to be had so dont be scared of large baits and strong gear down the inside line or to any feature you have in your swim.

These are just my opinions as I only pleasure fish due to work commitments, but we have had some huge chub bags from their but normally late evenings into the night.

Dave
