as a child/yooof i was the proud owner of a velvet box and bag that contained a slow burning stick of charcoal which used to warm up my hands on cold winter days fishing, having only recently come back as a born again angler i was wondering if anyone else remembers these and knows if they or a better version are available on the market all these years later?

Leon is that old that hypothermia is a real bankside problem for him.At the Timsbury fish in he was wheeled to his swim in a bath chair by two young nurses. As for the use of the charcoal type hand warmer I do worry as his skin is now that dry the slightest spark could cause him to combust.

And walked to the furthest swim, and caught the most fish in all probability mate!

However since quitting my job in security my ulcers seem to have taken a turn for the better! I will be proudly eating a fry up at the Itchen fish in and equally proudly keeping it down all day! biggrin.gif

In fact my new career as a Government artist seems to have improved my health no end.Shame about the bank balance though! rolleyes.gif
