What baits do you think make the best ‘snack’ whilst out and about on / at the waterside?
Obviously bread! And fresh ‘fish’ baits if you can cook them, Cockles Yum!
So what baits have you eaten? – anyone tried a bollie?

Suppose this could be the start of a ‘bankside cookery feature’ – one way to get angling on the telly! biggrin.gif

Tried many boilies but they don't taste anything like they smell, yuk!

Pepperami is a favourite, I usually cut a few chunks off for hookbaits but always end up eating them. tongue.gif

Havn't quite got round to trying worms and slugs yet, may give 'em a miss for now.

Pepporamis make a great snack in origianl and hot flavours.
Then there is sweetcorn, luncheon meat, bacon grill, steak and mince (used for chub fishing), various types of peas and beans.

Many, many years ago my brother was showing off by putting maggots in his mouth, he'd been told it warms them up on a cold day to get them wriggling. So his mate and I pushed him down to the ground and tickled him untill he swallowed 'em. Ahh, them were the days. smile.gif
