If the youngster can do it, why can't the cheating adults?
Did they really think they could get away with it?

Why they do not consficate there tackle I do not know if only till they appear in court. Some of these court cases are taking upwards of 5 mnths to get into court its a long time without tackle
with a chance of not getting it back.

Ho Ho Ho, named and shamed, lovely. tongue.gif
If he was using threatening behaviour get the police in, confiscate his tackle, auction it and put the money into the EA coffers. Then give the bugger a hefty fine. If the guy doesn't have the required licence(s) he shouldn't be allowed to fish.
If he loves fishing, he'd have to buy some more tackle.

Then again, if he loved fishing, he would have had the necessary documentation already wouldn't he.

Licence dodgers should ALL be hit with tackle confiscation and a fine.

Once people get this message into their heads they will remember to get their licence every year.

But why do you think there are so many that dont bother. These are mostly the same people who dont have car insurance, car tax or a valid mot cert and have been getting away with it for years.

Now the police have the power to take and destroy cars if the owner fails to produce the documents for above when caught.

Its time the EA and courts stopped threatening upto 2000.00 fines and confiscation and started issuing the Max sentance.

If you were caught fishing in South Africa the officers would automatically confiscate ALL tackle in your possesion AND YOUR VEHICLE. If you appeared in court and fined (which could be up to £1000.00 for repeat offenders), your tackle
(and your vehicle) would be returned ONCE YOU HAVE PAID YOUR FINE. If you pleaded poverty and didn't pay, ALL your confiscated goods were sold to pay your fine.

About time they made it an offence for fishery owners to allow people to fish their waters with out a license, if they could'nt get on the water without a license it may encourage a few more to purchase one!
