I hope you can help me with this one. I was a member of my old club for about 8yrs and got nothing but grief. All I want to do is go and FISH, not get involved in commitees, club politics etc.
I am thinking of joining Birmingham anglers as they appear to have cracking waters, but some of those I spoke to said it was a bad move. As I live in Cheltenham and a lot of their waters are nearby, what do you guys think?

I live almost 200 miles away from you but I was thinking of joining BAA this summer as I make at least two or three trips down to fish the Evesham area with my mate in the summer. We usually fish around the Harvington area and with the cost of 3x day tickets around there I'd have virtually paid the cost the year book. With the waters they have and at that price you're not going to go far wrong are you?

As you live in Cheltenham a lot of the B.A.A. waters are within your reach. I have a family ticket 2 adults 2 children cheap enough. Some river pegs leave a lot to be desired, but it all comes down to cost of upkeep if not in regular use. I too fish the Avon quite often.

In case you haven't looked here is the B.A.A. site.
