Has anyone heard from our esteemed Mr Salter M.P. after writing to him over the Collins debacle?
Come to think of it, has anyone heard from the E.A. apart from the pro-forma letter that I think we all received?

No.

A chase up wouldn't go amiss. Most unimpressed with the discourteous Mr Salter.

Nothing from the MP so far, quite disappointed they usually respond promptly.... perhaps he is overwhelmed by the response.

Had a reply from the ACA though, I nee to write giving more details as they dont appear to know about the case.

Why has Snotty had to inform the ACA dont they read the angling press any more? Anybody tell me what the SAA or PAC etc are doing? So Mr Salter is the "MP for Angling" eh? and no one has had a reply yet? not even a "I will look into this"? In fact has anyone done anything about this other than members of various internet sites?

What on earth did the bloke think he was doing?????

Dear Sir

COMPLAINT REGARDING USE OF SET LINES

I can confirm that on 17 February 2004, a number of set lines and a gaff were handed to the Environment Agency, having been taken from a gentlemen using them on the River Old Nene near Whittlesey.

The use of such implements for fishing is illegal under Section 1 of the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries Act 1975.

The Agency is still investigating the alleged offence.

I am sorry that we cannot provide more detail at this stage, but I hope you will appreciate that we cannot release details of this or other cases into the public domain until the investigation is complete, as to do so may jeopardise the outcome.

Yours sincerely

PAUL WALDRON
Environment Manager
