An interesting match rule from the site... "The smallest size of luncheon meat to be used is a quarter of an inch or one centimetre."

How can you justify that?

also no photo's of fish, they weigh the fish after matches for you. follow the rules and theres no problems. great fishery.
for chub try the small woodlands pool by the club house, fish close to the island it's rammed with fish of about 1 - 1 1/2lbs.
high pool is where the big un's live.
arles and deans are great match pools with plenty of carp to be caught.

Errr Guys, I don't think he's talking about Woodland View, but Woodlands. There is no Barley pool at Woodland View.

Part of my diary entry for 10th September 2003.
Peg 28 on Barley pool.
Virtually every fish I saw caught, was caught on corn, not difficult to see when they are all on corn fishing in bright sunshine.
All those I saw catching were shovelling it in.
A chap two to my right was fishing 2 lines, 2 and 6 metres. A 6" topping, 0.2 gram float and I'd guess a number 10 elastic and he was catching carp in the pound to pound and a half range on a regular basis. He looked to have only two number 10's down the line. When he fed, he threw between 30 and 50 grains at a time. He fed tight and weighed 35 lbs. The chap on my right 22 lbs On my left 9 lbs 12 ozs. The lake was won with 52 lbs. All the pools were included in the match and it was won with 102 lbs on Hay pool.
