Have a look at:-
http://www.norfolkskyview.flyer.co.uk/

Fancy fishing the Broads then? But where do you start? Found this interesting site with some grand pictures, this being one of them. But it highlights the need for watercraft, and maybe a fishfinder!! None of yer little syndicate waters with signposts to the hot spots !

Nice place, had pike to 15lb from the bank at Wroxham.

I don't like fishing the banksides that much as they're so busy these days

Fished the broads a few times myself, best I ever did was 12lb.
Will be back down around Hickling or the Thurne around Feb time with some of our local PAC members so we'll see what happens then.
Stunning views of Hickling but a bit of an eye opener with all the boats in Wroxham, kind of makes you wonder where all the peace and quiet has gone

Now that is some reasonable looking water for fishing. How big and how deep?

Hickling is the biggest of the Norfolk Broads, Newt. Like most Broads it only averages about 4 feet of water. Area wise, not sure, but think it is about 700 acres.

Dan, boats are cheap, just a case of being in the right place at the right time! Trouble is that they can be darned expensive to run rolleyes.gif .

Here are a few pictures from my boating holiday on the broads this August.

These bream were around the 5lb mark I say around as I did not have any scales
Doh!!!
I had ten around abouts this size in one session fishing
a spot on the river in Brundall.

The bream were taken on worm and sweetcorn on the swimfeeder.

Here is a picture of the boat we hired for the week.

This picture was taken at the pub we moored up overnight in Brundall
where i caught the bream above. We hired the boat through Blakes and
would definatley recomend them if anyone if anyone wants a relaxing holiday
afloat.

marzi - great fish and a super looking boat.

Peter - is that much boat usual on a lake of that size?
