welcome spud

try here for a few knots
http://www.claphamangling.co.uk/knots.htm

i recently purchased one of those complete carp fishing kits and have to say for value for money there great for a starter, but it really depends on your budget
as for bait im still looking for that 'magic one' maybee corn, boilies, luncheon meat, pellets, the list goes on and on!!! Try talking to the baliff and see whats a good bait or walking round the venues your going to fish and taking a quick peek at what others are using/catching with biggrin.gif dont be too nosy though

hope this helped a bit

There are 3 web site links in responses here.

All are UK based companies as far as I can see. Which did you think was 'american'?
