Just got home from a wonderful trip down memory lane, went to St Ives in Cambridgeshire after approx 20 years, walked along the river Great ouse at the back of the town/market area day dreaming it was after the 16 th June what a fabulous place, then went off to an old favourite piking place Holywell where I used to go when I was single had a pint and a pub lunch at the ferry boat Inn, no sign of the ferry anymore but had a chat with an elderly gentleman who used to work with Tom Arnott the guy that we used to hire the fishing punt to us, sadly he died about 9 years ago and there are no punts to be seen anymore, does anyone have memories of this place? or even still fishes there in season it looks much the same as the old days.

Yeah, me too, but these days I find that nostalgia's not what it used to be biggrin.gif
