Hi bluezulu! My experience of bait additives is that sometimes they work, and sometimes they don't: there is no magic formula that will catch fish better than any other. Try it out, either mixed into a crumb-based groundbait, or in a home-made bread paste. See if it works better than when you don't use it. I've had it recommended for tench and catfish, but never bought any. BTW I can't modify your post for you: could you just change the spelling from 'muscle' to 'mussel'? Lips and muscles, together, get my mind wandering...

As has ready been said, if you catch you will want to use it more and visa versa, try using it in your groundbait mix but it is very potent, if it is in an atomiser bottle try spraying a little in your groundbait bowl BEFORE you add the crumb, hope this helps and good luck

Best Regards
Dave

Dear Winks.....

We use that green stuff don't we.....seem to remember it does quite well in our groundbait.

Nice to see you posting here.....look forward to more from you as time goes on.

It combines well with Corn Steep Liquer, licker, liqer...whatever.

Yours With Respect....
Steve.

PS.....Welcome to the zulu warrior.

I've used the stuff - I add it to my cockles when fishing for tench - I have confidence in the stuff!

Dear bluezulu

As an aside, thought of whilst relaxing in a hot bath a few minutes ago......their scopex is also very good.....I add some to all my groundbait mixes. (And my groundbait mixes come from 'winks' who, it has to be said, knows his groundbait inside out.)

Use the green stuff with confidence.....and the two yellows....they work and the tench I caught last season really liked them.

Yours With Respect....
Steve.

I prefer monster crab. 3ml dripped straight under the hot tap, with a splash of Dettol just to take the edge of it. It won't help you catch fish, but it certainly stops people pushing in front of you in queues. tongue.gif

bluezulu - by convention, ALL CAPS on forums is the same as shouting in spoken conversation.

It's also much harder to read.
