Sadly, the search for 4 missing UK carp anglers in the wilderness of the USA has been called off due to several large bears. For more details:

All very tongue in cheek, Javalenas, what ever they are, can't swim but they later swam across the river, is this a Yank taking a knock at the Tommys I ask myself.

Javalenas - Javelinas, Peccaries: small, wild critters very similar to pigs. The most noticeable visible difference is that peccaries boast thick coats of bristly hair. Only found in North & South America. Harmless to people as singles. But they usually run in packs. And "javelina" is a spanish term meaning javelin or spear if that gives you any idea of what their tusks look like.

As for Oatmeal Jack taking a pop at people or things British - never happen. Not in a million, zillion years. I think he recently won an award from another UK angling forum for being (and I forget the exact wording but similar to this) "The most completely American specimen in existence" which surely has to be a compliment when awarded by a UK group, doesn't it?

Oats & Nugg,
A very long and Beautiful read!! I was sitting at my desk, at the end of my lunch break, and was asked what was I laughing about? The other associates in my office were surprised that I was so loud and so was I to be truthful.

rolleyes.gif OK guys, this may be a streach of the truth, but I was actually picturing the goings on as I read. It would be an Eye Opening Event for a lot of European anglers if they were to be presented with the Outdoor Life of rual America. There are creatures that will have you wondering which is the Lesser of two EVILS? As many Europeans as possible, please take a trip/vacation to North America and Enjoy the Wilderness before we ourselves distroy it!!!! The National Park issue that has been discussed over the past couple of days is scarry. The truly wild areas of America are disapearing fast and we are ourselves the culprits.

I know them all! I am a bit concerned about the reference to Earl Grey tea though, I am the only angler I know who drinks it!!!
