Unless you have the materials already and are handy with sewing, by the time you get the insulation and something to cover it and the fasteners, probably about as easy to buy a ready-made one that you know has enough floatation to do the job.

Full marks to fishrite for exploiting another niche market I expect it is up to their usual high standard goods and I hope it sells well for them.
...and long may they sponsor Anglers Net. -------------------- Our perception of time as an orderly sequence of regular ticks and tocks has no relevance here in the alternative dimension that is fishing....... C.Yates

fish of a lifetime. you're playing it hard, ready for the net. you discover you kicked the net slightly and it is now floating downstream into the next county? Joking aside, is there a chance of this happening?

Good old Fishrite for trying, and supporting AN. And may lots of people buy this product. Just amazes me that, in this case, people do buy when DIY is so simple. But the fact remains that people do like to buy, do like to be seen with manufactured items. So all power to their elbow, In all fairness Fishrite appear to meet the incapable punters needs very well with this item. The nylon, or whatever, cover is much less likely to catch a hook than bare pipe insulation. And by the time you have covered your lagging you might just as well have saved the agro and bought one!
