I got an Anne Summers one from the carboot sale, but it didn't have any instructions  , couldn't see how I could fix the line to it. Does it need elasticating?

Seriously - It is a short pole without elastic.
It has a ring whipped at the tip, and your line is connected directly to the tip. It was designed for smaller fish.

leedsunited, some whips have a hollow top-section and can be elasticated through to the third section once you cut the tip off (I have with one of mine). This will of course be better for you if you hook onto something a bit bigger than an un-elasticated whip can cope with, but do not imagine for a moment that you can target large fish with it, whips are purely for small fish....

Tight lines
