Hi all,
I have taken a look at Eltons new sponsors and they look like a nice family firm they are also very civilised and finish work at 1400 on a Friday.

They may have a badge for your club or would there be an interest in a sew on badge for Anglers Net regulars?

What do you think?

Gosh, how many did you order mate?

Whilst on the subject how about a badge from the Glasgow Museum Skate Tagging Project thingy (on receipt of relevant fish info and verification etc..) for anyone who catches, tags and returns a skate (separate one for catching and detailing an already tagged one??)?

Also could have different colour badges for different weights - say in increments of 25lbs and with all proceeds going back into paying for new tags and study? I would happily pay 15-20 quid to sport such a spiffy badge(s) on my smock if I knew it was going back into keeping it going.

Just one of those free-fall ideas that popped into my mind and will no doubt read like poo tomorrow morning :sheepish grin:

:[/quote]Hi Davy,
why not, I am sure they would be better than the ones from Sea Angler with "Ray" on them.
I think a lot of Common Skate anglers or anglers that have caught Common Skate would be proud to wear a badge, I know I would.

While you are here, can you email Elton with the name of the Dingy club that caught and released the fish that I caught please, he is just waiting for that info and then he will post our article.

All the best

Alan(nl)

Whoops - Wrong Davey/Davy Alan (maybe I should change my handle - Is that possible Elton?) Anyway, glad you feel it is a good idea smile.gif

Gives you a warm feeling when you hear that your tagged fish has been caught and returned again, does it not? At a guess it sounds like your fish was caught by one of the NEDAC boys (http://sea-angler.org/nedac.htm). Dunno if that rings any bells?

Hi Davy,Gongrats on the new addition to your family. biggrin.gif Does it hurt being a grandpappy??? I am sitting at home waiting on the arrival of my first grandchild, ( I am too young you know). It is due any day now and the tension is getting to me and the wife. One of the clubs I used to fish with (in the dim and distant past) allowed members to add the weight of newborns to the league table for club champion. My first daughter was 10lb 2oz and got me 4th that year. Anyway, congrats to you all.

Norrie.
P.S. I have the rod rests for you and will be in touch soon.
