Hiya Charlie,

was gonna reply to yer PM tonight but will do it here instead smile.gif

have a look at http://www.catchalot.co.uk/skateguide.htm

It gives the basics, though it is far from finished at least it points you in the right direction and more importantly shows you how to be skate friendly.

Bait wise, any whole fish baits will do though I normaly only use mackerel or Coalies I have caught Commons on just about every fish possible

Yes we have emailed. Its nice to have someone on this board from "Up North".

If you look back ovr this board over the last few months you will see plenty of mentions of Skate including some around Orkney.

Welcome to AN Charlie.

Scally,
For skate info you came to the right place! Read the catchalot webpages and you will learn loads.

Is yell any easier to get to than stronsay ...cos i got that weekend free.. biggrin.gif

And can I get a discount on the ferry!

Dave
