these bands of cocklers at the seaside were described as illegal immegrants employed by gangmasters ???
err why isnt the immegration office setting up a site hut and arresting them on sight  deportation isnt a problem as theres no war in china or is it like a african ones excuse "i`m hated as i`m gay" being a bender surely isnt a valid excuse for entry -------------------- |

i live about 5 miles south of where the Morecambe bay cocklers incident happened...and heard a rumour from a viable source that that was in fact what was happening at the time of the 'incident'
The rumour was that they were all on their way back to shore when imigration decended, scattering all the illegal workers, some back out to sea, and some towards the shore in a different direction...which is why some of them were found hiding in barns nearby!!! As for stopping them cockling, im all for it!! Every single day as many as 100 cocklers can be seen on the sands, wont be too long before there arnt any left!! Not only that, on the front page of the local paper was an artical about the cocklers blocking the slipway the lifeboat uses. The lifeboat was at the time out responding to a call made by the cocklers!!! Only to return to find they couldnt get back on shore!!! Work that one out!!! -------------------- FISHING: (fish'ing), the art of casting, trolling, jigging, or spinning, while freezing, sweating, swatting or swearing.
OAR: Clumsy wooden instrument used to moisten boat occupants. |
