Somewhere I might still have a fairly simple hook for putting a crab on as bait.
It is a double hook like the ones in this picture(but longer) but, instead of the conventional hook eye, the end is flat and pointed with a hole drilled in it for a link. You push it right through the crab and then attach the link(supplied with it).
Does anybody still sell them?

I had a quick look for 'double' hooks last year - for crab - without any success. I ended up taking my Dremmel to a few spare trebles I had kicking around smile.gif

The one I have/had is/was about 3 1/2 inches long. Salmon flies aren't that big are they?

I've also seen something similar to a safety pin with a hook on the back of it, about the same size.
