bennyTHEBASS - welcome to AnglersNet.

Please don't type in ALL CAPS when you post. Considered the internet equivalent of SHOUTING in spoken conversation and much harder to read than the normal Upper/lower case.

I think I have had some if you are talking about the ones imported for human consumption from far east. Now I am only an occaisional sea angler but I caught nothing on them when other baits were catching me some fish. In sSvcotland this summer I could catch small wrasse on mussel but nothing on the crab. The juices seemed very watery and the bait washed out very quickly.
That said I saw an article where good fish were being caught on them in the Bristol Chanel so maybe they are worth a go from someone that does more sea angling than me. I think the main selling point of these crabs was going to be availability.

 I reviewed some for Paul's Sea Baits and I found that by cocktailing half a soft shelled and half a peeler they were very effective. You got the bulk of the soft shelled and the scent of the peeler, very effective for Solent and Selsey smoothies. Not so good on their own but I still caught fish, they out fished hardbacks. Very useful when peelers are in short supply. biggrin.gif
