Did anyone see the Total Fishing With Matt Hayes this morning ? He was fishing a gravel pit for chub !
And to get the bait back over the loose feed he was overcasting and reeling back in the feed ! He obviously picked a tree or something on the other bank to align the cast !But how did he get the distance right ? Thanks for any help ! |

Leeds, this goes back to tieing a stop knot or marking your line in some way. In this scenario I would work out the spot I wanted to fish and then cast out, mark my line either close to the spool or the last rod ring. Then overcast each time and reel back in until you reach your line marker
