Hi,
Received the following by email - can anyone help?: " I still make my own Balsa floats for my Sea Angling around the Cornish cliffs and obviously found it difficult to get . My problem now is not the wood but the pieces of rigid , max 5mm diameter , plastic tube that I need to run through the centre and to carry the line." ------------------ Save Money On Your Fishing... Elton - I'd direct him to http://www.google.com and use rigid plastic tubing uk for the search terms. I found over 1000 listings and several of those I looked at might do the job.
Another idea - unless making the floats is satisfying as a hobby, might be easier to just buy the things. Not sure about the UK but dozens of brands available in the US. Will happily provide links if he wants. I use them all the time. |

Hi Elton
Balsa wood? I just use a panda pop bottle, ( takes 3oz by the way), and if you dont want to fish at fixed depth, just use the plastic tubing from WD40 cans siliconed inside or beads and a couple of power gum stop knots. They dont call me mad for nothing Mike |
