Hey guys can anyone recommend a safe boilie needle?

I have used fox, drennan and gardner models, all with the same catastrophic results. blink.gif

I have a problem with my hands, they shake uncontrollably in cold conditions and as a result, i have had to have no less than 5 needles removed from my index finger. I am affectionately known as 'hook finger' at my local A and E and its starting to get extremely embarrassing. mellow.gif

Any input would be gratefully received. cool.gif

Solar do a "saftey barb" boilie needle that might be just the solution. I have one myself, definately not the cheapest but possibly one of the best.

Scoop, i had to give up predatory fishing involving trebles many moons ago and i sympathise with you.

I like the look of the Solar safety barb, may have to invest yeah.gif

Why don't you use a gated baiting needle?
Surely you won't ram that down the end of your thumb as it does not have a point or a barb on it at all!
Have to admit they are useless for rock hard baits but then you just have to predrill a few at home and keep them seperate from the rest of your goodies rolleyes.gif

Why do you not drill them first then pick the baiting needle?

Should stop the pierced fingers.

Gated needles are safe, so are the Korum needles. Sold in packs of 2. They are small and rather flexible, more suited to baiting up soft baits on a hair but are also suitable for mounting drilled baits such as pellets and boilies. smile.gif
