What do you call one of those gripper things that hold a fish by the lip and weigh it at the same time? I've seen them on TV a couple of times and they look useful. Cheers.

I dont suppose you know of anything similar available this side of the water, that may even be more reasonably priced?

The Berkley Lip Grip is much cheaper than the Bogagrip but I donīt know if it is as good.

The Berkley Lip Gripper doesn,t incorporate weigh scales, thats one of the reasons its cheaper.

Ahhh... But it comes with a handy lanyard to hang from your scales
Never seen one of these thing in the UK though and I can imagine if you stuck one of those onto an angry conger it would only use it to club you back. -------------------- |

The Bogagrip is superb, it is well made, the scales are accurate and feels like it will last forever. It does what it says on the box and does it well.
However we don't have the spiny, toothy type fish it was designed for. It was made for holding the fish whilst removing trebles on lure caught fish with pliers I think. Don't really see a use for it here unless you want a very expensive priest |
