Hi, can anybody help this visitor to the site?
----------------------------------------------------- I wonder if anybody can help me please. I'm planning to fish the Castle stretch of the warwickshire avon. I know that it's near Warwick park, has anybody got any advice on how to fish it? what swims are any good? what baits? what fish are in that stretch? never fished there, used to fish the leam in leamington spa,(about 2miles away) good perch (to 2lb+) barbel and hard fighting river carp, there's a pontoon below the wear in the middle of leamington which is free fishing, otherwise leamington angling club have most of the rights but are cheap to join and do do tickets

the leam was great for pike, we used to spin or fish a static deadbait of sardine or sprat, the canal was good too.
