Quickie for you guys who sell a lot on eBay...

Is it just me, or do they seem to be having a lot of promotional days lately?

I wonder if it's just to find what works, or whether they're down to their last 50 billion and are struggling smile.gif

I think its eBay trying to `put something back` rolleyes.gif

By that I mean `lets give newbies all the benefits while we bend the longterm sellers over a barrel............`

Have they refurbed it? I use Turbo Lister and Julian prepares the despatch paperwork for me, so I never really see the site itself biggrin.gif

So many sellers are not listing 'cos views and bids are so poor, they are trying to get you listing again...problem is if you list during the "offers" you are in-undated anyway. yucky.gif wallbash.gif wallbash.gif
I have lost money in 2 out of the last 4 months, auctions ending with single figure views, and forget the store sales...just offers for 10% of the asking price huh.gif

am not a power seller or trader but ebay seems to be suffering at the moment as its full of scammers and non paying bidders

they also dont seem to give a damn

had a non payer the other week and couldnt do diddley was selling my daughters old phone so she could upgrade went for £30.00 five mins after sale closed he sent an email saying didnt want it

reported to ebay but they are toothless just wanna grab your listing and selling fees

there must be an alternative somewhere

I'm a powerseller, and tend to try and avoid the promo days where possible since the listings just dilute with newbs trying to get £50 for something worth £40, which basically means people type something else into the search and miss your products.

I think it's about time eBay introduced a sliding scale charge system. Yes, by all means charge the one-off sellers the current rate, but I'd appreciate even 20 to 30% off my bill each month based on the volume we put through!

I find it handy though - we never make the margins on fishing tackle we'd like but we do source a lot of repeat business via our main website from people who have bought a product from us originally via eBay.

With that I suppose it is almost free advertising which I find is by far the best money can buy!

Why did you lose your fees?? And YES there are LOADS of alternatives out there which is another reason for eBay doing what they do!!

I also am a power seller and I ahve to say there is a lot better feedback for powersellers I feel or is it the drugs??
