I am trying to cath a bass fro Whitby from my boat. I have tried sandeels and plugging but only pollack billet and cod so far. I keep hearing of bass being caught by boat at Sandsend but only had one fish positivily caught from off Boulby mine about 5 lb I think.
I will keep trying  and post if I get one.

the poacers definately get them in the nets around the boilers and stinking hole at sandsend ness. try around the kel green area. plenty in the nets but theyre always hard ashore

salmon and trout, the bass are a bonus.
they have 100 yard of net and will catch 80 percent of the fish in the 15 yards closest to the shore pete i here they get them in deeper water at boggle hole, robin hoods bay |
