Just got back from Lidls. It seems that fishing is this weeks theme!! they've got loads of cheap stuff, mostly rod and reel combos's not top quality as you'd expect tongue.gif but prob ok for kids/spare or a tele rod for the hols. I picked up 3 filleting knives, chopping board and spring balance in a box for £4.99! They also had some boxes of assorted lures (including some small feathers and a hand held floating fish finder poss ok for yaks. They also had beach shelter and fold up seats etc. Worth a look anyway

The promotion starts Thursday here, am going to go and buy loads more stuff I don't need - 'just in case'.

Saw the combos advertised, but now I know there's lots of little stuff i will need to compose myself before I go.....

The garage is beginning to look like a tackle dealership.

Hiya, According to the shop manager, the Fly gear went as soon as the shop opened, people were buying 5 rods at a time !!!!! I got a Boat spining combo, not bad for £15, even if it only lasts a couple of years !! biggrin.gif

Hiya, I got one, and will be collecting my "new" boat this weekend,so, if I/we get out, I'll try it, and report back. biggrin.gif But, they only work to 24 mtrs,so will have to find some really shallow water.... rolleyes.gif

Bought a landing net £7 it looks just as good as the one I paid £30 for in an angling shop.
Was too late for the bite detectors - worth a try @ £7. Shop was mobbed with anglers when it opened according to my wife !!!
