Since I thought I would be fishing our first club boat match of the year tomorrow, and trying out Snatchers lures - I took some photos of them incase they didn't return.

Just snap shots of them really, no fancy lighting or camera work, so photos arent that great - a little soft.

The 30mph Southerly wind though means I doubt I will be at sea tomorrow. sad.gif

Best of luck in the comp Gillies.Tremendous clarity on that close up photo.

Nice looking lure smile.gif

Snatcher - just wondered how difficult would it be to incorporate a blade ABOVE the lure - such as

this

Just put the lure on my desk, put off all the lights so just had the dull light of whats coming in the window, and used a longish expsoure.

If young snatchers camera has creative modes (Av,Tv,M etc) then what I did was put camera on tripod, put into AV mode of around 5.0 and that took an exposure of 20 seconds since it was dark. (so a long exposure on a tripod to make colours in lure more naturaly highlighted without using external light)

The other way of doing it, I would suggest is to use the Macro mode on the camera (wee flower symbol on most compacts) and have good light, but watch for shadows that are to nasty - should hopefully get a nice clear shot even handheld.

I shot with a Canon 20D and a 50mm F1.8 lens.

KennyC easiest way would be to buy the rig complete, cut off the muppet and then tie up your own lure. I wonder how effective they are?
Newt may come in with a reply if he sees this.
