You could use a float set-up but if you arnt up for that then you could use a peice of rig foam on the bait end. This will ensure your bait slowly settles of the mud/silty bottom.

Mabey using a lighter bomb than usual ??

my main bait of attack was going to be sweetcorn with one piece real and one fake on a hair so wont that make it sink slower onto the bottom?

It all depends on the depth of the mud/silt, but you're on the right lines.

You could also pop-up the bait, and fish it above the bottom.

is it a silt bottom? and what rig are you currently using? if your thinking of going all out you could try a helicopter rig? smile.gif

i was thinking of using a running cage feeder setup with liquidised bread and sweetcorn, so a helicopter rig would be a possibility.

i running rig wouldnt work quite right in this situation, if it got burried in the mud/silt.

but it is still something to try out smile.gif

Good luck mate smile.gif

Use a flat lead.........more surface area so it wont sink in the mud.
Also the sweetcorn ideas good!
