Liverpool really need to sort themselves out as do West Ham they expect miracles from the Manager but only give them limited resources in that they sell off the best players but don't replace them with anyone better then blame the Manager if they don't win.

It's like I used to say to Liams team once you're on the pitch it's down to you, you can put a good team together but if they don't perform they should shoulder some of the blame. I can understand the frustration of both of these Managers and I don't blame them for walking.

I hope that nobody takes on the jobs and it would serve the boards right mad.gif

Keegan has a track record for 'when the going gets tough, Kevin gets running - away.'

I admit to having some sympathy with both he and Curbishley, though. What's the point of appointing a manager with a brief to play in a certain style and achieving certain targets and not giving them the tools to do the job.

According to today's paper, Keegan could end up needing to demonstrate constructive dismissal if he's to avoid facing something approaching a £2m bill for compensation to the club.

Curbishley on the other hand is alleged to have claimed that West ham are in breach of contract as he had a clause in his contract guaranteeing him control over transfer dealings.

Still, we all know that it isn't about football any more, it's about money.
As a Gillingham supporter, it appears that as a club, they have none.

John.

I thought that 'WISE' was a strange appointment and I'm not sure why Keegan got the nod over the likes of Hughes or maybe he ruled him self out, like one or two will this time and who could blame them.

Chris
Sorry to say this to you but that is a typical knee jerk reaction from someone who knows nowt about Newcastle United, Kevin Keegan or its supporters; if you want a more reasoned explanation I suggest you have a look at at the editorial from tonight's Evening Chonicle:
