Fox has just brought out an excellent £4.99 guide to carp fishing. Even I could understand it! In your favourite tackle shop now!!

Although you can fish for specimen carp all year round (and people do), if you're starting out I'd recommend kicking off around Spring, when the weather starts to pick up.

hi jay
first off look for a runs water, its a place that is well stocked with carp, and pretty easy to fish, you better off catching as many as poss, regardless of size this will give you some experience and hopefully a few biggies amongst em!
once you have chosen your venue, stay on it.read up as much as you can on carp and there habits etc
also walk round the intended lake, look for fish showing itll give you an idea where to put your baits, speak to others, some will be very secretive others not,my mate ended up with a whole map/layout of a pit he was fishing as a kind carp boy lent him a cd with al the info and maps on!
anyway good luck hope you enjoy it.

STEWART-just peeked at your site, very nice mate i like that enjoyed a good read i did.
