On Saturday we had a run round Marine Drive to see who was fishing
What are they doing, great precast concrete blocks, new sea defences maybe, but can anyone give a report on what the future holds for this once prime spot for rock and shore fishermen

Cheers Newt, Part (Most) of the answer I was looking for.

I think it will be a few years though before we see anglers on this part of the coastline again.

Scarborough Bait n Tackle shops must be suffering

It is part of the costal defence work by Scarborough Borough Council £25.000.000   I think. Nobody local wants the wall as it will spoil the view and fishing . Try Filey Brigg but watch the tide and rocks!!!

From Bridlington to Spurn Point Macky1 is your man.

Thanks Chris for the help you have giving, on info, for fishing this area. The lads and I have since enjoyed many times on the Holderness beaches.
