 England get team silver and individual bronze in World Boat Angling Championships at Weymouth.
The England team fought back from bronze position after day one to lie equal 1st with France and Italy after day two. Although they fought hard they were beaten to the gold medal by a superb Italian performance which saw Italy win all their five boats on day three. It ended with Italy on gold, just beating England by a narrow margin into silver position, with France well behind to win bronze with Wales fourth. Italy also claimed individual gold and silver medals. Rolf Marschalek, last year's YYS winner with a perfect 100% score, took the individual bronze medal. Well done men, you gave your all, you did your best, no one can do more than that. [ 15. October 2005, 04:49 PM: Message edited by: Norm B ] -------------------- |
