Hiya,

Well what a week, even the best efforts of the wind couldn't keep us off the water and catching fish. Granted we couldn't get out to the proper marks but we did well fishing inshore with everyone getting at least one new species and 3 new species for the boat for this year, Taking Flamers total to 51 species this year.

Highlights of the Week:
Paul had his first ever Red Mullet (first this year for Flamer) and a clonking Black bream of well over 3lb
Peter had his first Trigger Fish (first this year for Flamer), his first Red Gurnard, Bull Huss, Garfish and I think off hand his 5 new species was a Corkwing wrasse.

Norrie had Garfish and I cant remember what else (help please norrie)

John had his first Goldsinny Wrasse.

and Myself, well I had my first Garfish, Starry Smoothound and Sand Gobie, I also managed a cracking 2lb plus Flounder (first this year for Flamer)while fishing from the boat in the harbour

Over all results were:
On Total points for the week;

1st place: Davy Holt
2nd Place: Peterthefisherman
3rd Place: Norrie
4th Place: Jabee
5th Place: Spasor
6th Place: John West

Most Species was myself with 18 ( Bass, Flounder, Whiting, Sand Gobie, Plaice, Launce, Sandeel, Black Bream, Ballan Wrasse, Cuckoo Wrasse, Corkwing Wrasse, Goldsinny Wrasse, Scad, Pollack, Pout, Poor Cod, LSD, Bullhuss, Starry Smoothhound and Mackerel. (the Flounder & Whiting were caught outwith the species Comp)

Biggest Flatfish was a 3lb 8oz Plaice caught by myself

best Specimen of the week went to Paul for his Red Mullet.

I'll add pictures etc as soon as I can sort them out.

Many thanks to Paul for arranging the trip and Colin for making the best out of a bad week for weather smile.gif

I think the skipper should be prohibited from fishing - he should be looking after his clients and ensuring they catch 17 specias each..... biggrin.gif

Can tell that Shaun wasn't there, I can still see some sweet and sour sauce. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Looks like you had a seriously good trip even though somewhat hampered by the weather. I just wish I could have been there. Definitely no more kids, can't do with the interuption to my fishing arrangements!
