I guess that many anglers are aware of the fact that Dr. Barry Rickards is writing a biography of Dick Walker. I believe that the book is well under way and that he is receiving cooperation from Dick’s widow, Pat, and his son Simon. However, both Pat and Simon would like to see a book about Dick written by one of his friends compiling experiences they have enjoyed while in Dick’s company – both on fishing trips and social events. I have been fortunate enough to be asked to investigate the viability of the idea and so I wondered whether there are any potential contributors on this site.

Unfortunately I am unable to discuss any details or arrangements at the moment because the outcome of my investigation is by no means certain, but I would be most grateful if any subscribers here who feel that they could and would be willing to contribute - subject to mutually satisfactory terms being agreed upon - would be kind enough to PM me.
