Caught this small John Dory on Saurday whilst fishing in Poole Bay. I know their not too common in our waters, anybody else ever caught one? Strangest fish i've ever caught.

never had one in the UK, but understand that they make fantastic eating.

Ive never caught one, but there were 2-3 caught up here in Lewis last year, 2 of them to a pirk.

JD's are very common here and becoming more so, they go up to 11lb.
this months TSF has a nice guernsey brace of 7lb and 8lb JD's. oh and a local trawler trawled up in one weekend - albacore, bonito, skipjack tuna and unbelieveably a barracuda ! GB -------------------- www.swff.co.uk - Guernsey Saltwater Fly Fishing
