Lying awake in my bivvy at about 11:30pm the other night, I heard a shuffling noise outside. Nothing unusual about that - you often find rodents and things running around in the dark.
But this sounded bigger and more purposeful. It was quite a bright night and I could see quite clearly without any additional light. Next thing I know, a mink has walked in and is looking at me. I didn't actually know it was a mink at the time, just that it was about twice the height and length of a rat and in MY bivvy! I kind of bravely went, "Brrrrrr, awwerrrr. Buggeroffyabugga!" and it turned around and scurried out. This was just after talking to a bloke named Dave The Cat, who informed me that he was the local 'wild cat spotter' i.e. he spots the big escaped Black cats that some people like to deny exist in the wild. I didn't sleep much that night -------------------- Treat yourself and support Anglers' Net...

Where were you fishing?
There are some Mink in Felixstowe / Trimley area causing havoc with peoples garden ponds. They are chewing the fins off Koi and dragging them out of ponds - most are not even geting eaten. -------------------- RUDD
