alright lads
i am sick of going fishing and only catching a few little dabs or whiting i am getting frustrated as i have been fishing for years and never caught anything over 2 lb. i use fresh bait digged by myself and if i use fish baits i get them from a fish monger or local supermarket i try everything.

i know its called fishing and not catching but i want to handle i nice decent size fish that i have caught from the shore i live in morecambe but go to blackpool do fish morecambe but its rubbish fish rossall clevleys gynn wall fleetwood and its to no avail. as i do not drive i cant travel too far.

help please fellas

From my memories of that part of the world, if you want a fish over a couple of pounds (I'm guessing that yours was a doggie), you'd be better off fishing the river Lune for the pike.
You might be able to locate some nice mullet in the estuaries shallow water and endless mudflats don't make for a good big fish habitat - great as a nursery area though.

Barramundi. p-i-k-e-y sea bream. Indian sea catfish. Guitarfish. Mangrove Jack. Mahseer. Squid (Not strictly a fish but it took a lure !). Emporer Sweetlip. Black Spot Snapper. Moray eel. Spangled Emperor. Bluecheek silver grunt. Yellow striped emperor. Vanikoro sweeper. Pike. Perch. Brown trout. Chub.

get yourself a dingy and fish out further ,you dont have to go miles out just further than you can cast from the beach or go charter

Lucky you - I was out on the Nene for 4 hours and went to have a sandwich. All i could smell suddenly was dogshit. Groundbait tub had been rested on some when loading and it was everywhere. Anglersafloat ahs the funniest fishing reporrt you ever read ;D
