This Sunday sees the 2nd UKSF Grand Prix at Huntingdon Race Course, Cambs.

If the last event is anything to go by with many records being broken it is an event to come along and watch.

The casting starts around 09:30 and finishes at 16:30, spectators and Day Casters (must register before the day with Anne Howlett).

Used to do a bit of casting years ago,used a Zipplex Dream machine,and a Formula T.Abu 6500c reels.....still got em........lol.
Out of interest what is the record now (150 grm)
Also what is the most popular rod and reel on the field nowadays ??

The Dream Machines are still a very capable rod in the right hands (much sought after by a certain Kent tackle shop owner)

The 150gm record is now 275.63m (301.5yds).

Reels is easy ABU's (UltraMags & any dual adjustable ABU's with mag conversions).

Rods (no particular order) - Zziplex's (HST, LT14, XTR, V-MaxF1, Primo Synchro Lt & B14's) Century's (Carbon Metal Express, Kompressor's & WR300) Cono-Flex's (Rakata) Greys - SRX & Pz300t.
