We will always eat cod in the UK.
Why? Because most of the cod we eat is imported from Iceland via air-freight!!! Yes! Forget the `Cod Wars`, we are Icelands biggest customer. They have the cold water and the fish. They also have very strict conservation policies. They`ve split their national waters into blocks. Once a block reports low catches, all boats are denied access. The Icelandic skippers actually pay heed to these bans? Of course they`re not in the EEC so don`t have to share their waters with any others!!! I think this could be a lesson to our government. But then `Tony` wouldn`t get his free foreign holidays?  Paul.
