I always have a chaep pair of leeda polarised sunglasses in my bag, even during the winter or when sea fishing. -------------------- RUDD Different floats for different folks! FWIW...
Only ever used them fly fishing where they are mandatory if you want to keep your sight, never mind looking for feeding fish. Rarely seen them used on the shore although I suppose they would cut the glare off the sea from a boat... if you have the kind of weather that generates glare! -------------------- |

On a sunny day out at sea boat fishing you would get a headache within an hour without 'em. Severe glare from all angles, and flashing with the waves which does your head in. But given that we hardly ever have lovely days like that when I'm out its not a problem

I must agree with Salar. If your fishing off a boat, don`t think a baseball-cap will save your eyes from the sun. The reflection off the sea can still considerable damage to your eyes!!
Use polaroids or light sensitive adjusting lenses. With either large frames or wrap-around frames. Poser styles can be discounted!! Paul. -------------------- We don`t use J`s anymore!!

i use polaroids for most of the times sight fishing for mullet and the odd time for bass feeding on the surface, for comfort they also are a must for any bright conditions shore or boat.
my pals and i are using optishields that you could get through mullarkys mail order, they are brilliant for clarity and water penetration but it seems that optishield have stopped making the originals and have brought a new model which appears to be not as good. mullarkys have said that they have been asked for the original spec but can't get them and people are dissapointed with the new one ones, so maybe tackle dealers that have the old stock are the ones to target.. they are butt ugly but you are not out there too look good!! if you can get them i would advise you get a pair cos you will not be dissapointed. one other point is that i have just recently got a pair of prescription polaroid glasses from specsavers and they are a bag of sh*te!! don't bother, save your money and find somewhere that have the old optishields. quote:it's not how deep you fish it's how you wiggle yor worm!! |

Do sunglasses avoid the wrinkles that might be caused around the eyes by squinting?

H?
Since when did you care about wrinkles? Sunglasses are used to avoid squinting and eye damage. But I guess you`re too old to care. LOL -------------------- We don`t use J`s anymore!!
