Oh, so the Angling Trust has 'won' us the right to carry on doing what we've always done, then, have they? All by themselves. Well done to them, then.

I wish angling organisations would stop it with these exagerated and sensationlist press releases when there really isn't anything to celebrate. It seems like they are using the same spin tactics that was used by Martin salter's labour party, and I, for one, don't like it. Instead of patting themselves on the back and misleading sea anglers into thinking everything is going to be alright, they ought to be asking what conditions will be attached to sea anglers 'winning' the right to fish in the sea. Because you can bet your life there will be plenty.

No, not at all. If I think something is good, I'll say so. Likewise if I think something is bad, I'll say so.

Maybe it's the AT that are blowing hot and cold?

Or maybe you think we should all just follow blindly?

Steve, it has been agreed in both houses of parliament that the rights within Magna Carta can be over ridden so, in this case, Salter has done good. EU conservation law, and un-Natural England, are dangerous forces to be reckoned with. Because we have done it in the past is no guarantee that we can do it in the future. Your shoulder is for looking over, use it or loose it!

Believe me, Peter, I know what sort of threats we face from the environmental groups and Nasty Nature. Which is why I'm a bit surprised that the AT are claiming victory. Either they don't know what the threats are, in which case we should be worried, or they are trying to kid us all.

Hello Steve

With ever increasing references to
Quote:
The unrelenting damage that has been caused to our coastal regions by overfishing, and especially trawling, has damaged the ecosystem to dangerous levels.

The AT are sounding more like a environmental group them selves.

free to choose, only at present.

Angling Trust, Non-Member

Free unrestricted fishing at Weymouth harbour, unlike Christchurch RSA debarcle.

Ban the waste of space and money mcz, project. Check out the failed ntz at Lundy.

Shame on the A T, E A, NAC, eel huggers for un-neccesary banning of rsa home made jellied eels.

Charles blood Clover !!! I dare not watch it Barry, my gaskets would not hold , fuses would blow and I probably would not sleep for a week afterwards.

I suppose we will be bombarded with a lot of this sort of crap leading up to bringing in the Marine Bill and to justify all the closed areas .

I'd love to be part of the MCZ in my part of the world (I hope I'm going to) ....

you have no idea about the bending of the rules; genocide and paedophilia of basslings/spawning bream and cuttles going on here.

Plus the environmental devastation from my local scallopers.
Even the whelkers are having a real nuke on the environment ... where have hermit crabs gone? (No homes to go to?)

I used to catch 20 fer bait. No more here.

Yes it's an emotive comment; but I'm fed up with the odd(?) commercial who 'pops' up here or on WSF and claims 'victimisation' ...

prats!
